Since the first Barbies opened in 1992 with the ambition to become Quebec’s numbergrill and barbecue (hence the name Barbies) restaurant, our brand hasn’t stopped growing. Our chain now includes restaurants with a central kitchen and head office in Brossard and has become one of Quebec’s most loved brands.

    I’ve been working with the Barbies family for 15 years and became a partner in 2005 when I opened a franchise in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. I chose Barbies because their leaders are ambitious, they have important plans for the future and their organisation is young. It’s fun to feel that, in my own way, I’m contributing to its growth and that my ideas and opinions are listened to and respected. My restaurant was profitable in the first year. We work in partnership with the Group: It supports our profitability, it’s transparent and everyone benefits. Barbies maintains a very good relationship with their business partners, which is very important for stability and to ensure our continued evolution.

    TRAINING

    The central kitchen offers training to franchisees and soon we’ll be opening our new restaurant school. Once opened, the new school will be able to train for all skills under one roof.

    Our 12,900 sq. ft. central kitchen brings together the product processing and packaging, and the inventory of different supplies necessary for the daily operations of the restaurant network. These facilities surpass the highest standards of sanitation regulated by the ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ).
